We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef for a confinement center specializing in postnatal care. The chef will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the dietary needs of postpartum mothers, ensuring that each dish promotes healing, boosts lactation, and restores energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Planning & Preparation:
- Design and prepare daily menus based on confinement dietary principles, focusing on nourishment and recovery.
- Ensure meals are rich in essential nutrients, using traditional Chinese herbs and ingredients like ginger, black vinegar, sesame oil, and dang gui.
- Cultural & Dietary Expertise:
- Utilize knowledge of traditional Chinese confinement practices to create dishes that support postpartum recovery.
- Customize meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, including fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices, ensuring timely restocking.
- Ensure portion control and food presentation meet the center's standards.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with nutritionists or healthcare providers to align meal plans with medical advice.
- Communicate with staff and new mothers to gather feedback and improve meal offerings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on evolving trends in confinement care and modern dietary practices.
- Innovate within the framework of traditional cuisine to enhance variety and appeal.
