The Procurement role will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and purchasing . This role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic sourcing abilities, and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities
**Strategic Sourcing:** - Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals. - Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
**Supplier Management:** - Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. - Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
. **Cost Management:** - Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings. - Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
**Identify Stakeholders:** - Identify and categorize key stakeholders, including internal teams (engineering, finance, project management) and external parties (suppliers, regulatory bodies, community groups)
. **Contract Management:** - Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements. - Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
. **Collaboration:** - Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines. - Collaborate with finance teams to ensure availability of funds for procurement activities.
. **Risk Management:** - Assess risks associated with suppliers and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. - Stay updated on market trends and potential disruptions in the supply chain.
**Reporting and Analysis:** - Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance. - Utilize procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
**Team Leadership:** - Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. - Conduct training sessions on procurement best practices and policies.
**Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement
-Quantity Surveyor background with extensive experience in cost estimation, tendering, and contract management within the construction industry preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software eg.- SAP,ORACLE,COUPA
