Exciting opportunity for a proactive Procurement Assistant to join our dynamic team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange to mobilize as per ISO procedures.
- To handle and manage purchasing of construction/building materials/ hiring of machineries.
- To liaise with suppliers to purchase / hire and follow up with them to ensure timely delivery of materials/ machinery.
- To search for a new supplier and open new account for company.
- To negotiate for best prices and payment term for every purchase.
- To check and verify pricing amongst suppliers before confirming order.
- To ensure all delivery is as per purchase/ hiring order in term of quantity and quality.
- To maintain and service all the suppliers account in good order.
- To co-ordinate with the account department in processing all invoices and claims.
- To follow-up on all rejection, dispute and complaint under Purchasing Department.
- To upkeep all record and document under purchasing department in proper filing system.
- To do general administrative works.
- To source for required material.
- Solicit price quotation from suppliers.
- Select supplier, recommend, subsequently obtain approval, and issue purchase order.
- Negotiate price and compile quotations received.
- To ensure and coordinate with both suppliers and project PIC for the timely delivery of goods ordered.
- Update status of material received.
- Order machinery & equipment; keep proper record and budget control.
- Verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders.
- Counter check the balance stock items randomly for production store.
- Reserve PR in system for any break down and repair jobs.
- Liaise with vendors for booking service, repair jobs arrangement for trailers, mobile cranes, machinery & building maintenance works.
- Monitoring maintenance cost and maintain service/repair jobs history.
- Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Superior/Head of Department.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience.
- SPM or Diploma in any related field.
- Good communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
