We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by preparing samples, conducting tests, recording data, and maintaining lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process samples for testing (e.g., blood, urine, chemicals, food, or environmental samples depending on field).
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Conduct tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record and analyze data accurately; report findings to supervisors or researchers.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization.
- Label and store samples properly.
- Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with inventory management of lab supplies and reagents.
- Calibrate instruments and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology).
- Prior laboratory experience preferred but not always required (on-the-job training may be provided).
- Familiarity with lab equipment and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
