Job Overview:
We’re looking for an HR Manager with startup experience to set up and improve our HR processes as we grow. You’ll work closely with leaders and handle day-to-day HR tasks to keep things running smoothly and build a great team culture.
1. HR Strategy & Organizational Development
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
Establish and standardize HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks suitable for a startup setting.
Partner with leadership to forecast manpower needs and succession planning.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
Drive end-to-end recruitment processes to attract top talent.
Build and strengthen the company’s employer brand, leveraging startup culture as a key attraction point.
Implement onboarding programs that accelerate new hire productivity and cultural alignment.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
Create and execute initiatives to strengthen engagement, retention, and performance.
Champion a positive, agile, and inclusive workplace culture
Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and address workplace issues promptly.
4. Performance Management & Development
Implement goal-setting frameworks (OKRs/KPIs) tailored to startup growth stages.
Oversee performance appraisal cycles and career development planning.
Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
5. Rewards & Benefits
Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits structures that align with business goals and budget constraints.
Conduct regular salary benchmarking to maintain market competitiveness.
Manage employee benefits programs, including health, insurance, and allowances.
Recommend reward strategies that motivate high performance while supporting startup scalability.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
Manage payroll accuracy, statutory contributions, and employee benefits.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and HR best practices.
Maintain accurate HR records and reporting for decision-making.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification is an advantage).
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience in setting up HR functions from scratch is highly desirable.
- Exposure to cross-border HR management will be an added advantage.
- Experience in handling overseas or cross-border HR operations will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR functions in lean organizational structures.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- High adaptability, resilience and comfort with rapid changes.
- Tech-savvy and experienced with HRIS or any HR systems or digital collaborations tools.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
