- Electrical Installation & Supervision: Supervise and monitor LV electrical installation works (power, lighting, cabling, earthing, lightning protection). Ensure compliance with CIDB, ST, MS IEC standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with consultants, TNB, and local authorities for inspection and approval.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct testing & commissioning for LV systems including insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, polarity tests, and functional testing. Verify contractor test results and prepare T&C; reports for submission.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety practices on site in accordance with OSHA & ST regulations. Issue and monitor Permit to Work (PTW) for electrical works. Ensure lockout-tagout (LOTO) and safe energization procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare method statements, work progress reports, and as-built drawings. Maintain daily site logbooks and submit regular progress updates to Project Manager. - Project & Resource Management: Plan and allocate manpower, tools, and materials for E21 works. Supervise subcontractors, wiremen, and technicians to ensure timely and quality completion. Monitor project schedule and budget compliance for electrical scope.
Skills & Competency
- Electrical Supervision (LV Systems) – CIDB Competency A1
- Familiar with TNB requirements for supply application & energization - Proficient in electrical design drawings (AutoCAD)
- Knowledge in testing instruments (multimeter, insulation tester, earth tester, clamp meter) - Strong leadership and communication skills
Qualification & Certification
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering [Insert Institution]
- Registered Wireman/Chargeman Certificate (A0/A1/A4) with ST [if applicable] - CIDB Green Card holder
- Training in Electrical Safety / OSHA 1994 / MS IEC Standards
