About the role
The role will be responsible for leading and expanding the air freight team and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of air cargoes.
What you'll be doing
- Handle end-to-end airfreight operations - planning, scheduling, and monitoring shipments; promptly solving all air freight issues
- Manage all air freight pricing - source competitive rates from airlines and propose quotations to local customers and overseas agents
- Coordinate shipments with airlines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to coordinate the movement of cargo
- Communicate and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing them with timely updates and ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations
- Analyse and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and optimise air freight processes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies
- Support sales and business development initiatives related to airfreight services
What we're looking for
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in air freight operations or a similar logistics role
- Thorough understanding of air freight regulations, processes, pricing, routing and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a talent for developing and mentoring employees
