Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our tour operations and drive business growth across global travel destinations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in travel sales and operations, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to execute strategic growth initiatives in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute tour operations in alignment with agent and customer requirements for worldwide destinations.
- Drive business development to expand the customer base and achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain a robust client database by identifying new prospects and strengthening existing relationships.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations to the Country Manager.
- Develop destination marketing materials highlighting key selling points for clients and internal sales teams.
- Promote and upsell travel itineraries, activities, and destination experiences.
- Conduct pre- and post-season reviews to identify improvements for future operations.
- Evaluate proposed itineraries to ensure feasibility, profitability, and margin optimization.
- Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.
- Resolve service-related issues and client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Support management with special assignments and strategic projects as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of proven sales experience in the travel or hotel industry, preferably with a Destination Management Company (DMC) or travel agency.
- Strong network within the travel agent community is an advantage.
- Proven track record in business development, client management, and achieving sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of travel operations, processes, and destination management.
- Experience with multinational or foreign organizations is highly desirable.
- Self-driven, mature, and able to work independently in high-pressure environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Salary: RM8,500 – RM12,000 per month
