As a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator, you plays a vital role in delivering a smooth and stress-free relocation experience for our clients. Acting as the main point of contact, this position is responsible for managing every stage of the moving process from the initial inquiry to final delivery.
The role requires proactive communication, meticulous planning, and close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure that all relocations are executed on time, within budget, and in line with R7 International Movers’ service standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination: Organize and monitor all phases of the shipping process, including booking shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and managing documentation.
Carrier and Vendor Management: Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and carriers to negotiate rates and arrange bookings.
Documentation Management: Prepare and verify necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and certificates of origin.
Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs clearance requirements for imports and exports.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them updated on the status of their shipments and addressing any issues that arise.
Inventory & Tracking: Maintain shipment records, track shipments, and update relevant systems with real-time information on delivery status.
Problem-Solving: Handle any shipment-related issues such as delays, damages, or changes to orders, providing swift resolutions and minimizing disruptions.
Cost Management: Monitor shipping costs, control expenses, and ensure cost-efficient shipping methods are utilized.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure seamless logistics coordination and client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination. Experience with international shipments is a plus. Applicant without experience are welcomed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred, or a minimum of STPM.
Knowledge: Understanding of shipping processes, customs regulations, and incoterms is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail for handling documentation and tracking shipments.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address any logistical challenges.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple shipments, and meet tight deadlines.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office Suite.
Team Player: Ability to work well with others and contribute to a collaborative team environment
