We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveying Intern to support our team in cost estimation, contract administration, and project cost control. This internship provides hands-on experience in construction cost management while working under the guidance of experienced quantity surveyors. ( Female are encourage to apply )
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Assist in preparing preliminary cost estimates and bills of quantities
- Help analyze project specifications and drawings for pricing
Contract Administration:
- Support the preparation of tender documents and contracts
- Assist in evaluating contractor submissions and variations
Cost Monitoring & Reporting:
- Help track project expenditures against budgets
- Participate in site visits to monitor progress and quantities
Documentation & Measurement :
- Assist in taking off quantities from construction drawings
- Maintain organized records of cost-related documents
Valuation & Payment Processing:
- Support the preparation of interim valuations and payment certificates
- Help verify contractor payment applications
Risk Analysist:
- Assist in identifying potential cost risks and variations
- Participate in cost value reconciliation exercises
Team Collaboration :
- Work with project managers, engineers, and contractors
- Attend site meetings and contribute to cost discussions
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Basic understanding of construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with measurement techniques and cost databases
- Proficiency in MS Excel and willingness to learn QS software
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
