- Responsible for an effective and efficient administration of the Quality Assurance Department to ensure the work done complies with the requirements of the CAA Malaysia.
- Consult and liaise with CAA Malaysia on component maintenance, repair and overhaul, meeting CAA Malaysia requirements.
- Establishing an independent quality assurance system to monitor compliance of the Part-145 organisation with CAA Malaysia requirements.
- Implementing a quality audit program in which compliance with all maintenance procedures is reviewed regularly concerning each type of component maintained. Any observed non-compliance or poor standards are brought to the attention of the person concerned via his manager.
- Responsible for follow-up and closure of any non-conformance.
- Establish regular meetings with the Accountable Manager to appraise the effectiveness of the quality system. This will include details of any reported discrepancy not being adequately addressed by the relevant person or in respect of any disagreement concerning the nature of a discrepancy.
- Responsible for preparing standard practices and procedures (MOE, including the associated procedure(s0) for use within the organization and ensuring their adequacy regarding Part 145 and any amendments to the Regulation.
- Responsible for submission of the MOE and any associated amendments to the CAA Malaysia for approval.
- Responsible for assessing Subcontractors and supplies of new and used components and materials for satisfactory product quality concerning the organisation's needs.
- Responsible for issue/renewal/cancellation of the company’s approval holder.
- Responsible for coordinating action on airworthiness occurrences and for initiating any necessary further investigation and follow-up activity.
- Responsible for assessing subcontractors working under the quality system and maintaining the expertise necessary to do so to satisfy the CAA Malaysia.
- Responsible for establishing a programme of training and continuation training using internal and/or external sources
- Make available and set up Technical publications.
- In the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager, his duties are delegated to the Accountable Manager. However, this does not absolve the Quality Assurance Manager from his overall responsibility.
- Perform others job related as assigned by the management.
