Summary of Responsibilities:-
Oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. Coordinate with external parties to ensure trade & logistic compliance; this including Custom, MITI, Matrade, Shipping liner, logistic service provider and etc.
Maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records. Also accountable for maintaining cost analysis and supporting project costing to ensure profitability and budgetary control.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet operational requirements.
- Conduct regular market surveys and price benchmarking.
- Maintain and update proper records of approved suppliers, contracts, and purchase data.
- Well-known on SST, import/export duty.
Costing:
- Develop, maintain, and update product and project costing.
- Analyze cost variances between estimated and actual project costs.
- Work closely with sales, project, and finance teams for pricing strategy and margin control.
- Provide cost breakdown and reports to support tender submissions and project quotations.
- Monitor inventory levels and pricing impacts on costing.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Logistics:
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including local and international shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, customs agents, and warehouses.
- Monitor shipment schedules, resolve delivery issues, and ensure timely arrivals.
- Handle import/export documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Optimize logistics costs by negotiating transportation rates and improving delivery efficiency.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with internal controls and external regulations.
- Prepare procurement and costing reports for management review.
- Assist in audit exercises related to purchasing, cost controls and logistics.
Others
· Any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, costing and logistic
- Preferably in a project or manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of procurement and costing principles.
- Familiar with AutoCount systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTable, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Purchase cost savings achieved.
