What you will be doing:
- Developing and leading engagement with media, bankers, analysts, lawyers and other third-party stakeholders.
- Develop, write and edit proposals, research, media materials, strategic communications and stakeholder materials.
- Manage the formulation and implementation of strategic and tactical implementation of financial communications plans.
- Managing transactions liaising with bankers, lawyers, clients and the teams ensuring the quality and delivery to deadline.
- Proactively develop and grow client accounts, working with and mobilizing Edelman specialties and resources across multiple offices.
- Support the development of team members and mentor junior team members.
- Support to develop a constructive working environment.
What is required of you:
- A demonstrable interest in and knowledge of, business, financial services, and current affairs.
- Ideally, agency experience and a track record of advising companies in strategic, corporate and crisis communications across sectors.
- Strong skills in writing and editing various materials.
- Proven ability to lead new business pitches.
- Excellent written, numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communicator, able to influence and persuade verbally and in writing.
- Experience in communications for personal finance and/or investment brands is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to lead on projects from concept to coverage.
- To ‘own’ client and media relationships with limited senior supervision.
- A strong networker and ambassador, both internally and externally. Continually seeking to broaden knowledge and contact base across the city.
