Pre-Opening Responsibilities

Assist in establishing banquet service standards, policies, and SOPs in line with HARRIS brand expectations.
Work with Sales, Kitchen, and Events teams to define banquet capacity charts, flow diagrams, and service logistics.
Recruit, train, and onboard banquet service staff; conduct simulations and trial runs before opening.
Participate in menu tastings, mock events, and vendor coordination to ensure readiness.

Banquet Operations

Lead all aspects of banquet event execution, including weddings, corporate functions, seminars, and social gatherings.
Coordinate closely with Event Sales, Culinary, and AV/technical teams to ensure setup, timing, and flow meet client expectations.
Supervise room setups (theatre, classroom, round table, buffet, etc.) and oversee transitions between events.

Guest Service & Communication

Serve as the key contact person during events, addressing last-minute changes, special requests, and service recovery when needed.
Maintain strong client relationships through timely follow-up, responsiveness, and personalized service.
Conduct event briefings with staff and debriefings post-event for continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Training

Schedule and manage banquet team shifts, rosters, and task allocations based on event requirements.
Lead daily briefings and instill a culture of discipline, energy, and HARRIS hospitality values.
Conduct ongoing training in service techniques, hygiene, safety, and guest interaction.

Financial & Inventory Management

Monitor labor usage, overtime, and break management to ensure staffing efficiency.
Work with cost control and stewarding teams to track equipment usage and minimize breakages or loss.
Support beverage controls and bar operations for events involving alcohol service (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM6,500.00 per month
