Specific Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing:Warehouse assistants receive incoming shipments, verify items against documentation, and store them in designated locations.
- Inventory Management:They maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and conduct regular inventory checks to prevent stockouts.
- Order Fulfillment:This involves picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Shipping and Receiving:Warehouse assistants assist with loading and unloading trucks, scanning items, and verifying shipments.
- Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:They keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, including operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Quality Control:They may inspect incoming and outgoing items for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
- Safety Compliance:Warehouse assistants adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Teamwork:They collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet daily targets.
- Equipment Operation:Some roles may require operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse machinery.
- Documentation:They may be involved in updating logs, preparing documentation for audits, and maintaining records of inventory transactions
