FWD Technology and Innovation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., known as FWD TIM, was established in late 2019. Strategically located in Kuala Lumpur, FWD TIM serves as a pivotal shared service location within FWD Group, providing services to multiple markets across the Group. PURPOSE
Accountable and responsible for leading, developing and managing the TIM Finance Centre of Expertise (Finance COE) to deliver an efficient and effective Group Office (GO) finance operations for GO entities.
Drive development of sustainable processes of the GO finance operations through process reengineering and automation, to achieve operational efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and lead the implementation of the Target Operating Model (TOM) of the Finance COE.
Accountable to ensure all services provided by Finance COE are high quality and delivered on a timely basis complying with applicable Group policies and standards.
Manage the monthly accounting close of the GO entities on a timely and accurate basis.
Drive the intercompany charging process, ensuring transparency, and accuracy in charges provided to Local Business Units (BUs).
Drive continuous improvement of the overall quality, timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of the GO finance processes and deliverables.
Collaborate across Group Finance, Local BUs, Cost Centre Owners and other stakeholders as required.
Develop standard and consistent business processes for Finance.
Collaborate with TIM Head in developing appropriate charging methodologies and managing TIM finances.
Define SLAs and KPIs with GO and Local BUs.
Drive implementation of standard inter-company agreements with Local BUs.
Create awareness on Group Finance policies, timelines and processes by communicating and engaging with the relevant stakeholders and cost centre owners, to meet financial planning and reporting obligations.
Recruit and retain the team’s resources through effective on-going coaching and engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
University degree in accounting/finance/business or related discipline.
12+ years of working experience in financial/accounting roles.
8+ years of leading diverse, high-performing teams.
8+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in insurance.
Internationally recognized professional accounting qualification or equivalent.
Experience working in a dynamic, fast-growing business and matrix environment
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Comprehensive knowledge in insurance, finance & procurement operations is required.
Experience in using ERP systems.
Knowledge of Oracle Finance and Procurement systems is an asset.
Demonstratable understanding of risk and control frameworks within a finance function.
Previous experience with establishing intercompany charging processes and procedures.
Familiarity with internal and external auditors.
Knowledge or practical experience with automation tools (Alteryx, etc) is an asset.
