Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Operations & Maintenance
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HV (up to 11kV) and LV electrical systems, including switchgears, transformers, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable and safe power distribution.
- Respond to power failures, electrical faults, and emergencies promptly to minimize downtime.
- Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations and statutory requirements for electrical installations.
- Maintain proper records, logbooks, and documentation as required by law and company policy.
- Implement and monitor electrical safety procedures in accordance with industry standards.
- Facility Support
- Support building operations teams to ensure all electrical systems (lighting, HVAC, lifts, escalators, chillers, etc.) function efficiently.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and utility providers for maintenance, repair, and system upgrades.
- Supervise and guide maintenance staff or technicians in electrical works.
- Project & Energy Management
- Assist in planning, commissioning, and upgrading of electrical systems and energy-saving initiatives.
- Provide technical advice during renovation, tenancy fit-out, and new installation works.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose cost-saving initiatives for mall/building management.
Requirements
- Certification/License: Possess a valid Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) BO Chargeman Certificate (up to 11kV).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical operations, preferably in malls, commercial buildings, or facilities management.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and building services.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,200.00 per month
