JOB SUMMARY
- Plan, implement, and oversee HR activities across key portfolios, including talent management, career development, professional development, and employee engagement.
- Lead and supervise a team to ensure smooth daily operations, with deliverables completed on time and within budget.
- Support the planning and execution of HR-related projects and new initiatives introduced by the Unit.
- Contribute to strategic tasks such as benchmarking, data consolidation and analysis, proposal preparation, policy reviews, and development of presentation materials.
- Provide input into the strategic development of HR functions and initiatives aimed at positioning the University as an employer of choice.
- Ensure operational and reporting compliance with regulations from government bodies, ministries, statutory agencies, and accreditation authorities.
- Oversee documentation and record-keeping processes to maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Conduct data analysis for effective reporting, including dashboards and analytics to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in training, staff development, and talent management.
- Solid understanding of the Sarawak Labour Ordinance and related regulations, including those from the Human Resource Development Corporation, Ministry of Higher Education, and Sarawak Immigration Department.
