Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Wireman PW4 or Chargeman (A0/A1 certified) to join our solar PV installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and supporting the electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of solar power systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform electrical wiring, installation, and interconnection of AC/DC cabling for solar panels, inverters, and associated solar PV system components.
- Conduct electrical testing and commissioning to verify system functionality post-installation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and basic mechanical issues within installed solar PV systems.
- Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ensure all electrical works, including solar PV installations, are carried out in accordance with applicable safety protocols, codes of practice, and industry standards.
- Monitor the quality and integrity of electrical installations at the site, ensuring strict adherence to SEDA, ST, and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the installation site upon completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations, preferably in the solar PV industry.
- Certified Wireman with PW4 or Chargeman with A0/A1 competency certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- SEDA certification in solar PV (if applicable) is an added advantage.
- Experience with solar PV systems, AC/DC cabling, and inverter installation is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in electrical systems.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and electrical standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, especially under outdoor conditions and at heights.
- Physically fit with the ability to work at project sites.
- Willing to travel to various job locations when required.
- Good communication skills and work discipline.
Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
