Key Responsibilities:
Hostel Management:
- Supervise all aspects of hostel operations including accommodation allocation, maintenance, safety, and discipline.
- Maintain records of hostel inventory, student details, and housekeeping supplies
Housekeeping & Hygiene:
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across all hostel areas (rooms, washrooms, common areas).
- Train and monitor housekeeping staff in line with hospitality industry practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to housekeeping SOPs.
Student Welfare:
- Provide pastoral care, support, and guidance to students.
- Handle grievances, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with hostel rules and regulations.
Safety & Security:
- Oversee security measures for students, including gate entries, night rounds, and emergency preparedness.
- Coordinate with security and emergency services as needed.
Mentorship & Professional Development:
- Guide students in the principles of hotel management and housekeeping through real-life applications in hostel operations.
- Organize sessions on etiquette, hygiene, and hospitality as part of co-curricular development.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare periodic reports on hostel occupancy, maintenance, and student conduct.
- Manage hostel budget related to maintenance and supplies.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Student Affairs, or related field.
- Previous experience working with youth, students, or in residential settings is preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in a student supervisory, hostel, or youth leadership role is advantageous.
- Fresh graduates with leadership experience in student councils or peer mentoring programs are encouraged to apply.
