The Supervisor - Ocean Export Customer Service will be responsible to:
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
- Prepare several documents for international transportation
- Manage and negotiate rates with contracted vendors in procuring spaces and services
- Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
- Ensure accurate data entry into the operating system
- Cooperate with customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
- Ensure all customers SOP are followed as per Customer SOP
- Comply to regulations which includes internal policies and procedures such as OPS and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements
- Understand department process flow, continually looking for areas of improved efficiency.
- Work with the team on meeting KPI standards, as per the company’s procedure.
- Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction and overseas communication.
- Assist Supervisor for daily review Stat 1 and operational reports and work with team on updating event codes.
- Audit files and work with team on meeting OPS
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Assess vendors at defined intervals per company policy, focusing possible improvement with corrective action plans where needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Ocean Export
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills, Pro-active and Emotional resilience.
- Fluent in English language.
- Self-reflecting and open-minded
- Initiative, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
