Responsibilities:
- Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Prepare and improve pitch decks, investor memos, and fundraising documents.
- Manage the investor database (CRM), track outreach, and follow up with investors.
- Arrange investor meetings, handle scheduling, take notes, and track follow-up actions.
- Assist the leadership team during investor pitches and due diligence.
- Keep the investor data room updated with the latest documents.
- Handle follow-ups, scheduling, and preparation of meeting materials for investors.
- Support in pitching to potential investors.
- Compile and update key metrics and fundraising reports.
- Investment Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Research market trends and competitors to support fundraising and decision-making.
- Analyse industry trends, deal flow, and investor activities.
- Help maintain and update the company’s cap table and funding model.
- Support internal reporting on cash runway, fundraising scenarios, and projections.
- Identify potential investors (VCs, CVCs, family offices) that fit the company’s stage and industry.
- Strategic Partnerships
- Research and reach out to VCs, CVCs, accelerators, grant bodies, and enterprise partners.
- Prepare briefing notes and research for partnership and investor meetings.
- Assist the CEO in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support and monitor partnerships, pilot programs, and their impact.
- Evaluate and approach corporate partners, accelerators, and grant opportunities.
- Assist in structuring collaborations, POCs, and co-investment opportunities.
- Draft briefing documents and talking points for the CEO’s external meetings.
- Track partnership outcomes and return on investment (ROI).
- CEO Support
- Work closely with the CEO to align outreach efforts with company goals.
- Assist in special projects and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA, CFA Level 1 or above, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong academic background with good analytical and communication skills.
- Experience: 2–5 years in one or more of these areas -
- Venture Capital (VC) or Corporate Venture Capital (CVC)
- Startup fundraising or investor relations
- Investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance
- Startup accelerators
- Experience in at least one successful fundraising round (e.g., Seed, Series A).
- Strong in storytelling, creating pitch decks, and delivering presentations both online and in person.
- Comfortable working with cap tables, term sheets, valuations, and growth metrics.
- Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple external stakeholders at the same time.
