Al-Ma'arifa International School is seeking a friendly, professional, and well-organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our school community. This role is vital in creating a positive impression for visitors, parents, and students while providing efficient administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the front office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors, parents, and students in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls; respond to email and in-person inquiries.
- Maintain the school’s visitor log and issue visitor passes in accordance with security procedures.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Keep the reception area tidy, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and events as needed.
- Assist in distributing announcements, circulars, and notices to staff, students, and parents.
- Provide basic information about school programs, events, and procedures to callers and visitors.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate staff member or department.
- Coordinate with administrative and academic departments to ensure smooth communication.
- Support general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist in emergency procedures by guiding visitors and students when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by school management.
Requirements:
- Malaysian citizen.
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Administration, Office Management, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiar with office equipment (telephone systems, printers, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and handle a busy reception area.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages are an advantage.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:40 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: RM1,499.00 - RM1,500.00 per month
