- Provides the leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department, while maintaining focus on the Hotel’s Strategic Goals.
- Responsible for the establishment of both the Annual and the Monthly Sales Objectives in coordination with the Hotel’s Business Plan.
- Responsible for providing the Annual Sales Plan and providing the Quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the Plan.
- Responsible for coordinating the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with all of the functional departments of the Hotel, and, most specifically with the Front Office, the Food & Beverage and the Accounts.
- Coordination with the General Manager, establishes both the Market and the Target Customer Strategies for the Hotel.
- Analyzes the Sales Statistics to determine the business growth potential, and develops the Strategic Marketing Plan to eradicate deficits, if any, for the Hotel.
- Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates the action plan to approach and secure new business for the Hotel.
- Responsible for the target given to achieve the departmental achievement.
- Responsible for all the Trade Accounts Receivables by monitoring the AR aging on a proactive basis with his / her Sales personnel, and coordinates with the Credit Manager and / or the Accounts Manager.
- Responsible to increase the Hotel’s profile, and expands the market reach in the domestic and the international market place.
- Sales calls to designated areas of coverage with potential business for the hotel.
- Entertain prospective clients in the hotel with the aim of building closer rapport, securing an account of confirming a booking.
- Ensure that all accounts are serviced and sales targets / key performance index (KPI) are met.
- Continuously update on market / competitor feedback.
- Represent the hotel at seminars or any other external functions when required.
- Attend weekly Sales Meeting with General Manager.
- To prepare Weekly Sales Plan, Weekly Sales Report and Monthly Report .
- Welcome and entertain in-house clients, VIPs and groups at the hotel.
- Attend and assist in all functions hosted by the hotel ie. guest cocktail, etc.
- Carry out other duties when directed by the General Manager
