Job Summary
The Sales Executive (Sales Channel Management) is responsible for driving sales performance through effective engagement and support of assigned sales channels. This includes managing relationships with channel partners, retailers, and agents to ensure sales targets are met. The role involves executing channel strategies, monitoring sales activities, providing product training, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, target-driven, and skilled in both relationship management and sales execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the area (state) owner for all Telco Prepaid and Postpaid businesses under the Open Channel and Modern Trade categories.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities, programs, and presence within assigned clusters. Evaluate their effectiveness, threats, and opportunities, and recommend Quick Win strategies to ensure CelcomDigi remains competitive.
- Ensure healthy cluster performance in alignment with the Sales & Distribution team’s pyramid health guidelines.
- Drive achievement of sales targets, including reload volumes and quality activations, contributing to overall revenue growth.
- Maintain strong brand visibility and presence of CelcomDigi within the assigned clusters.
- Conduct regular sales visits following the 4-Step Sales Call approach to engage dealers and frontliners effectively.
- Expand the dealer base by identifying, recruiting, and nurturing potential dealer touchpoints.
- Actively participate in on-ground initiatives, including events, roadshows, and roving campaigns, to support sales and brand engagement.
- Provide first-level support by troubleshooting dealer and frontliner inquiries related to systems, products, and services.
Job Requirement
- Minimum SPM qualification; Diploma or Degree in in public relations and communications is an added advantage, especially in managing stakeholder engagement, dealer relationships, and brand representation.
- Experience in sales, particularly in working with dealers, distribution channels, and telco operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with dealers and channel partners.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to travel within assigned territories and work outdoors, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Familiarity with sales performance metrics and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of Telco prepaid and postpaid products and services.
- Must possess own transport and a valid driving license.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in English and/or other local dialects is a plus.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot basic system/product issues for dealers.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
