Job Summary:
The Remittance Operations Assistant Manager supports the Remittance Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the remittance department. This role ensures that transactions are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Assistant Manager acts as a bridge between the operations team and senior management, assisting with team coordination, process improvements, and customer issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Assist in managing the daily workflow for inward and outward remittance processing.
- Monitor transactions to ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and internal guidelines.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Monitoring:
- Support the implementation of regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, and other remittance-related guidelines.
- Perform regular reviews of remittance transactions to identify potential compliance risks.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and documentation.
Team Coordination:
- Provide guidance and support to the operations team to ensure consistent performance and productivity.
- Act as the point of escalation for operational issues and collaborate with the Manager for resolution.
- Assist in training new team members and conducting refreshers on processes and regulations.
- Be the middleperson between the Management and the Tellers of all branch offices.
Customer Issue Resolution:
- Address customer inquiries and complaints related to remittance transactions.
- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve escalated issues promptly and professionally.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records of transactions for compliance and analysis.
- Assist in generating performance and risk reports for management review.
System and Vendor Liaison:
- Work with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and ensure smooth operation of remittance platforms.
- Liaise with banking and remittance partners to address operational queries and issues.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new operational policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field.
· At least 5 years of working experience in the Remittance Business Operations.
· Have experience to supervise and lead the team.
· Must have excellent communication skills and leadership skills.
· Rational in making decision.
· Willing to support work during weekends or Public Holiday (from home) since the branch offices are operating everyday.
· Have good knowledge in Bank Negara and other statutory requirements and/or related rules.
· Working location at Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur (Headquarters).

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM8,709.59 per month
