The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales activities in a specific region. This includes managing the sales team, meeting sales targets, growing the customer base, and building strong relationships with clients in the region.
Location: Empire Office Tower, Subang Jaya, reachable by public transport.

Job Scope:
SHEQ & Compliance
- Responsible for motivating/ensuring everyone works safely and according to the SHEQ standards, as stated in document of SHEQ department – Responsibilities Manager with Regard to Safety, Quality & Environment, to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way.
- Complies with the attitude of Lean and continuous improvements in the organization.
- Visits various sites/locations and fill in a WPI on regular basis.
- Responsible for ensuring that all executed activities and processes are in compliance with SHEQ standards, policies, instructions, and local legislation.
Strategy & Company Objective
- Understands, applies and conveys the Group mission and vision in order for the organization to adhere to the expectations and values prioritized by the board, the CEO and the HQ management team.
- Develops a clear vision of what needs to be accomplished in the medium and long term, based upon understanding of the external, competitive environment and the company's strengths.
- Responsible for producing and communicating actionable business plans (incl. measurable targets) in order to implement the strategy developed together with the team and monitor effectiveness.
Organizational Structure & Processes
- Responsible for establishing the organizational structure in line with the corporate guidelines as stipulated in the quality system.
- Applies competence management to make sure all responsibilities and authorizations are covered and allocated efficiently.
- Sets KPI’s as targets for management and holds each employee accountable for their respective domains in order to maintain a balance between responsibilities and controlling the results.
- Regularly checks the satisfaction of the team members and clients/stakeholders to define and execute action plans for continuous improvement.
- Develops, within the framework of the approved strategy, the necessary processes and policies, controls the implementation of it and organizes corrective measures to ensure the employees are permanently managed towards the set strategic goals and operational targets.
- Responsible for supporting the country/BU/HUB to understand and implement the Group Sales & Marketing standards.
- Prepares and sets up the annual sales & marketing budget for the region.
Business Results
- Takes ownership of the results by investing in the allocation of human and other resources (with or without Group Director`s support) to ensure targets and budgets are met at all times.
- Works in close collaboration with the Regional Finance Manager and other Regional Managers to understand the key profit drivers, performance and budget variances. Develops and implements corrective measures when needed.
- Responsible for managing the major profit drivers by controlling external and cash-out costs and by keeping working capital levels low.
- Produces regular and accurate reports in accordance with Group standards in order to keep the functional and line management informed on the regional performance and uses this information to manage and improve regional business results.
Sales & Business Development
- Responsible for developing a pipeline of new business coming into the region based on indepth knowledge of the market (customers and business trends), the solutions and services the region can provide and of the company's competitors.
- Responsible for identifying market opportunities and evaluating them in close collaboration with the functional and line management.
- Understands the Group organization, follows trends and evolutions in the different markets/domains to offer the best solutions at cost and within budget.
- Pro-actively works together with the team to secure future revenues.
Market Data Analysis
- Collects, structures and interprets all available and relevant regional market data, analyses the clients’ needs and demands to optimize existing products and services and introduce new ones.
- Follows, investigates and pro-actively addresses regional market dynamics, developments and trends.
Relationship Management
- Maintains and builds positive relationships with potential clients, business partners, the political world, (regional) authorities, financial institutions, etc. to create awareness and goodwill.
- Ensures an (updated) CRM system is used throughout the region.
Sales Activities
- Implements and communicates the Group Sales guidelines regionally, consisting of:
1. Market segmentation

5. Target setting
6. Bonus system
7. Call & Visit Reports
8. Pipeline and quotation management
9. Idle equipment follow-up
10. Price list
- Ensures that each country/BU/HUB develops and executes a professional sales plan to reach the topline objectives.
- Ensures that each country/BU/HUB develops and manages a well-functioning sales team in order to reduce the risk of idle equipment, maximize sales revenues / profit and meet the topline objectives.
Marketing & Communication
- Stays in close contact with Sales Managers and Country Managers on marketing & communication needs and provides Group Marketing & Communication Manager with input on regional needs.
- Refers to Group Marketing & Communication Manager for any regional marketing & communication actions.
- Coordinates the systematic provision of information on projects won and other noteworthy regional achievements to Group Marketing & Communication Manager.
Product Development
- Supports, using the collected market data provided by the team, the development of new products, approaches and services in order to cover all segments and create a competitive advantage.
Procurement
- Ensures ‘SMART’ purchasing practices to save in e.g. subcontracting/cash-out.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to the globally defined purchasing strategy.
Coaching & Development of Human Capital
- Responsible for the recruitment and development of key management positions in the team.
- Responsible for the implementation and regular following-up of Performance & Competence.
- Management and adjoining HR instruments (job descriptions, competence profiles, evaluating, coaching, etc.) in accordance with the Group competence model, creating a team of motivated and professional collaborators.
- Responsible for the setting up of clear and measurable Key Result Areas, including of KPI’s, for everyone in the region and the evaluation against these set KRA’s and KPI’s.
Requirement:
- Degree and above with proven years of experience in relevant field.
