A Factory Manager oversees the daily operations of a manufacturing plant, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained. Factory Managers are also responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, managing staff, and continuously improving production efficiency. Factory Manager Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee daily factory operations and production processes
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with different departments to streamline production
- Manage factory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Implement cost-effective production strategies
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment
- Develop and enforce factory policies and procedures
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the factory
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations
- Prepare and manage the factory budget
- Provide leadership and direction to improve overall factory performance
Factory Manager Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of production processes and techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to implement process improvements
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Project management experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of production management principles
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of factory machines and equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
