Job Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the end-to-end procurement process for direct materials, ensuring timely sourcing, ordering, and delivery to support production and operational requirements. The incumbent will work closely with suppliers, internal departments, and logistics teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, certifications (e.g., FSC, PEFC), and environmental regulations. Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Place orders with suppliers or vendors and ensure all documents are in order, with terms and conditions clearly verified.
- Obtain quotations, issue Purchase Orders (POs), follow up on deliveries, and manage filing and data entry for all direct material purchasing documentation.
- Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing and terms.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to the procurement of direct materials, products, services, and outsourcing.
- Monitor stock levels of direct materials to ensure sufficient inventory to meet production and customer order requirements.
- Prepare and generate monthly reports on direct material purchasing activities.
- Ensure compliance with FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody requirements for certified products and materials.
- Assist the Logistics Executive in coordinating daily import shipments with agents and the Planning Department.
- Communicate customer FSC or PEFC certification requirements to relevant suppliers/vendors and ensure the provision of proper documentation and certification.
- Identify applicable environmental requirements specified by customers and communicate them to the Environmental Management Representative (EMR).
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Superior or Management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in in Supply Chain Management, Business Studies or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 year of relevant working experience in procurement
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
