About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Operations Assistant to join our growing team at Dura Technology Sdn Bhd. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our production processes. You’ll be involved in planning, coordinating, and supporting day-to-day production activities to meet operational targets and support company goals.
What you'll be doing
- Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
- Monitor and track daily production activities to ensure workflows align with plans and adjust as needed.
- Liaise with production teams and relevant departments to address issues, delays, or changes in production demand.
- Collect, analyse, and maintain production data including labour hours, material usage, and production status.
- Generate timely reports and performance metrics for management (e.g., forecasts, KPIs, and operational stats).
- Manage day-to-day operations and assignments in a timely manner to avoid disruption to production and organizational workflow.
- Provide general administrative support to the production team, including:
- Data entry
- Report generation
- Documentation
- Organizing and filing production-related documents and records
- Prepare timely and accurate reports including forecasts, analytical data, and production statistics for management review.
- Update and maintain work orders in the ERP system accurately.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and components; ensure availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Raise Purchase Requisition Notices (PRNs) based on stock levels and project needs outlined by the Business Development Material Worksheet.
- Coordinate closely with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Oversee quality control checks throughout the production process.
- Identify and propose opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with the company's safety and health policies at all times.
- Provide general administrative support to the production team: data entry, document management, filing.
- · Coordinate with various departments, including procurement, inventory quality control and logistics, while also communicating effectively with team members and management to address any production-related issues or needs, ensuring seamless production operations.
- Communicate clearly with team members and management to resolve production-related issues quickly and efficiently.
- Manage day-to-day operations & assignments on a timely manner to avoid disruption to the organization’s operations.
- Work closely with the inventory team to ensure smooth flow of the materials and products throughout the production process.
- Prepare timely report that includes forecast, analytic data and statistics to management.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors to support production and organizational needs.

- Proficient in using production planning and scheduling software
