Role Overview
The Product & Pricing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Hasilwan’s Green Energy Solutions portfolio, ensuring our solar, storage, and energy efficiency offerings are competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer needs in the Malaysian Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market.
This role requires a balance of commercial acumen, technical understanding, and innovation foresight. You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, SCM, and Marketing to design and price compelling solutions while also identifying new technologies, market opportunities, and channels for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Development & Pricing Strategy
- Translate market demand into viable solutions (solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, bundled offerings).
- Define product specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and cost strategies in collaboration with Engineering and SCM.
- Ensure all solutions meet regulatory, technical, and commercial requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust pricing models across CAPEX, lease, and PPA structures.
- Conduct cost benchmarking, gross margin analysis, and maintain internal pricing playbooks.
2. Sales, Marketing & Enablement
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to refine customer segmentation (LV and MV segments).
- Identify high-potential industries such as manufacturing, retail, and logistics for targeted growth.
- Design channel-specific solutions for direct clients, EPC partners, ESCOs, and government-linked entities.
- Support sales teams with ROI calculators, proposal templates, and client-facing materials.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies including launch kits, case studies, and webinars.
- Educate internal teams and partners on value propositions, solution design, and pricing frameworks.
3. Innovation & Market Foresight
- Track global and regional trends in solar, BESS, energy efficiency, and digital technologies (IoT, EMS platforms).
- Identify emerging customer needs, new financing models, and innovative distribution channels.
- Propose new product ideas and GTM approaches to strengthen Hasilwan’s competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–5 years’ experience in Product Management, Go-to-Market, or Pricing/Commercial Strategy within:
- Renewable Energy (C&I focus preferred)
- Industrial Technology / Infrastructure / Telco
- Energy-as-a-Service, SaaS, or IoT businesses
- Strong analytical and commercial expertise in pricing, market sizing, and segmentation.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Procurement.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate market trends and design innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of solar financing (CAPEX, lease, PPA) and Malaysia’s energy regulatory framework is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
