As the Plant Manager, you will work closely with the Operation/Project Director and play a lead role to drive process optimization and continuous improvement of the plant operation.
- Oversee all aspects of production, including scheduling, quality control, and resource allocation.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Implement measures to optimize production output and minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, supervisors, and technicians.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Manage inventory levels, procurement, and supply chain activities to support production requirements.
- Optimize use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all plant operations.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant performance.
- Analyze production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to achieve production goals and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with senior management on plant performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of working experience in chemical plant production and operation at the senior executive or managerial level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, customers, and local government authorities.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work at KKIP or Lahad Datu Plant
