Head of Flight Operations / Director of Flight Operations
Role Purpose
- Responsible for Corporate On-Time-Performance (OTP) and to take immediate corrective actions and conduct post-mortem for major and high-profile delays with all department involved.
- Responsible to provide comprehensive data for Flight Cancellation Rate and On-Time-Performance consist of Flight Number, A/C Registration, Departure Arrival Destination and Time for submission to MAVCOM.
Key Accountability
- Responsible for flight daily reports on On-Time-Performance and major service delays, circulate to key personnel and management and managed flight cancellation within 48 hours.
- Accountable for Flight Dispatch services provided to both MASwings and Customer Airlines are safe, secure, and legal in accordance with laid down policies and regulations.
- Accountable for supervision, management of all aircraft dispatch and chair the Operations Review Meeting (ORM) for operations arising matter."
- Responsible for FOCA Administration and Operations are smooth and up to standard as per Service Level Agreement and accountable for OCC regulatory documentation in line with regulations.
- Responsible to manage deployment of crew system wide arising from flight schedule changes pilots and cabin crew roster changes to achieve optimum crew utilization.
- Responsible for yearly budget for OCC and to manage financial of the OCC properly and efficiently."
- Jointly execute major operational decisions and recovery plans on abnormal operations such as flight diversions, Air Turn Back (ATB), serious incidents, aircraft recovery and crew operating pattern involving Ops Dispatch, Pilot in Command (Line Operations) and Crew Planning and Deployment.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Professional qualification or related field with 5 - 7 years working experiences in Airline Operations, Experience in Flight Dispatcher and Certify from Regulatory is an added advantage
- Diploma in Professional qualification or related field with more than 8 years experiences in Airline Operations, Experience in Flight Dispatcher and Certify from Regulatory is an added advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge in Flight Planning and Navigation Systems
- Conversant with Malaysian Civil Aviation and International Civil Aviation Organisation Regulations
- Projects management skills
- Crewing Management
Key Challenges
- Management of service disruption due to adverse weather conditions and aircraft technical defects. Achieving target OTP value and operational efficiency during peak travel periods. Operationalise RMD network plan
- Accountable for planning and control overall flight operations to ensure safe, legal and optimum operations at highest quality level and achieve MAVCOM OTP and FCR KPI above 87% and 96% for RM15 million incentive.
