Job Summary
The QS Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials in the field of Quantity Surveying (QS). They will also contribute to curriculum development, research, and student supervision.
Key Responsibilities.
Teaching:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various QS subjects, including cost planning, contract administration, and measurement.
- Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and presentations.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students.
Curriculum Development:
- Contribute to the development and review of QS curriculum and course materials.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure curriculum relevance.
Research:
- Conduct research in QS-related areas to enhance teaching and contribute to the field.
- Publish research findings in academic journals and conferences.
Student Supervision:
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects and dissertations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students' academic and professional development.
Industry Engagement:
- Collaborate with industry professionals to maintain strong industry connections.
- Organize industry visits and guest lectures to expose students to real-world applications of QS.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree or higher in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching QS subjects at a university level.
- Strong knowledge of QS principles, theories, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
