Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in providing technical support to sales partners and internal departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, product application evaluations, quality control activities, and supporting product development projects. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment where innovation, accuracy, and technical excellence are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC/QA testing and qualification for new and trial raw materials.
- Perform routine daily QC/QA testing, data analysis, and result reporting.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COA) for incoming raw materials and confirm status.
- Maintain, update, and file laboratory and QC/QA documentation.
- Manage inventory of laboratory consumables, including purchasing.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory systems, equipment, and instruments.
- Oversee retention samples and handle safe disposal of chemicals.
- Assist in product development, improvement, and evaluation of new raw materials/products.
- Prepare product prototypes and perform end-product application testing.
- Draft product specifications and generate COAs.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, laboratory best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and good housekeeping practices.
- Support and follow up on ongoing projects, ensuring product properties meet requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by superior or management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
