Kitchen Crew members support kitchen operations by helping with food preparation, cooking under supervision, maintaining cleanliness, and following hygiene standards. They assist chefs, manage stock, and ensure a smooth workflow in fast-paced foodservice environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients: Wash, chop, marinate vegetables, meats, and other items.
- Assist cooking: Follow recipes and portion guidelines under chef direction.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene: Clean workstations, equipment, dishes, and floors.
- Handle inventory: Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and notify supervisors when supplies run low.
- Support plating: Help assemble and garnish dishes to meet quality standard
Required Skills & Traits
- Strong teamwork and communication in high-pressure settings
- Excellent attention to detail for food quality and hygiene
- Good physical stamina: Able to stand long hours and lift heavy items
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn on the job
