Role Summary
We are seeking Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking Associates to join our Interpretation Support team in Cyberjaya. This role is responsible for providing skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation between patients and healthcare professionals based in the United States. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate communication while adhering to strict confidentiality, interpreter ethics, and company protocols.
This is a full-time office-based role, with permanent night shifts and attractive allowances. Fresh graduates, diploma holders, or candidates with prior experience in translation, interpretation, or customer support are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, meaning-for-meaning interpretation between English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
- Follow interpreter protocols, training, and company policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information handled.
- Continuously build vocabulary and subject knowledge as per client needs.
- Use standard office equipment and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Edge).
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, teamwork, and the ability to work under supervision.
Requirements
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese & English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Education: SPM / Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent IT professional experience.
- Experience: 0–5 years (freshers welcome).
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills in both Mandarin/Cantonese and English.
- Ability to stay calm and professional in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Cultural sensitivity and linguistic awareness.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Willing to work permanent night shifts.
Working Hours
- 5 days per week (Monday – Friday), weekends off.
- Shift Timings (MYT):
- 10PM – 7AM (Night Shift, majority of assignments)
- 6AM – 3PM
- 3PM – 12AM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
