Role Accountabilities

Network Audit Planning & Execution:
Lead and conduct audits of telco network infrastructure (core, transmission, access, fibre, wireless), including design, implementation, operations, and maintenance. -
Risk Assessment & Control Evaluation:
Assess network-related risks, review internal controls, and identify gaps or improvement areas in network security, resilience, and quality of service. -
Incident & Compliance Review:
Evaluate incident management processes, regulatory compliance (e.g., MCMC, MSQoS), and adherence to industry standards and best practices. -
Reporting & Recommendations:
Prepare clear, comprehensive audit reports, present findings to management, and recommend actionable improvements. -
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with network engineering, operations, IT security, and business teams to understand processes, validate findings, and drive remediation. -
Continuous Improvement:
Monitor emerging network technologies, risks, and regulatory changes to ensure audit coverage remains effective and relevant.
Requirements to Perform the Role Effectively
- Ability to independently plan and execute complex network audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting audit findings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and objectivity.
Skills and Knowledge Required

Experience:
Minimum 5–6 years in telecommunications network operations, engineering, assurance, or audit. -
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of telco network architecture (core, access, fibre, wireless), protocols (IP, MPLS, GPON, LTE, etc.), and network management systems. -
Audit & Risk:
Familiarity with audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001), and internal control evaluation are an advantage. -
Regulatory & Compliance:
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (MCMC, MSQoS) and industry standards (ITU, TM Forum). -
Tools & Systems:
Experience with network monitoring, fault management, and configuration management tools (e.g., NMS, OSS/BSS, ACS platforms). -
Qualifications:
Degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent. Professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CCNA, CWNP, ITIL) are an advantage.
