Job Summary
Responsible for building and sustaining positive employer-employee relationships to ensure fairness, resolve conflicts, and foster a harmonious and productive work environment. This role is pivotal in managing employee relations, driving engagement initiatives, and supporting compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Job Responsibilities
Industrial Relations
- Manage and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Conduct investigations into misconduct or policy violations in line with company rules and regulations.
- Lead and execute Domestic Inquiry (DI) processes in a fair and timely manner.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to managers on HR policies, employee relations, and industrial relations best practices.
Employee Relations
- Plan, lead, and manage employee engagement programs and company events such as Service Awards, Annual Dinner, Fun Day, and festive celebrations.
- Coordinate annual employee representative voting and maintain departmental representation.
- Organize and facilitate engagement initiatives including skip-level meetings, tea talks, and new hire sessions while ensuring timely closure of action items.
- Design, execute, and interpret monthly employee morale surveys to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead retirement recognition activities, ensuring contributions are honored and celebrated.
- Administer employee birthday acknowledgments to strengthen engagement and workplace culture.
- Liaise with next of kin for dismissed employees regarding funeral expenses, donations, and insurance claims.
- Conduct exit interviews to capture insights on employee turnover and recommend areas of improvement.
HR 1-Stop
- Serve as the central point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries and services.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a confidential and timely manner.
- Act as a mediator between employees and management to maintain positive workplace relations.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in Kaizen, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support company-wide events and activities as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company.
- Prepare and maintain weekly ER/IR reports and disciplinary records.
- Lead inclusiveness projects to promote workplace diversity and collaboration.
- Support production initiatives such as HIT programs.
- Coordinate dialogues, chit-chats, and engagement sessions, ensuring follow-up on action items.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in Industrial Relations, Law, or as an HR Generalist with IR exposure.
- Proficient in English and Malay.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and current labor laws.
- Proven ability to manage industrial relations matters independently, including employee discipline, domestic inquiries, and grievances.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and influencing skills with an approachable and collaborative attitude.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment.
- Added advantage: proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Canva, and advanced Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM4,900.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
