Job Description
- Utilize GIS software to extract and analyze tree height, canopy size, and other agricultural metrics from drone imagery.
- Develop and implement GIS solutions to support precision agriculture practices, such as variable rate application and crop monitoring.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts and drone operators to collect and manage geospatial data for analysis.
- Create detailed maps and visualizations to aid in agricultural planning and decision-making.
- Provide technical support and training to agricultural staff on GIS software and drone operations.
- Stay informed about advances in GIS technology and drone technology to enhance agricultural practices.
- Perform any other ad-hoc assignments and other duties assigned by HOD/PIC
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Agriculture, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with GIS software in an agricultural setting.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for geospatial analysis.
- Experience in flying drones and processing drone imagery for agricultural applications is a plus.
- Experience in remote sensing techniques and imagery analysis.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices and processes.
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

- Melaka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
