A General Account Clerk is responsible for performing routine accounting to assist in maintaining accurate financial records. This position supports data entry, record keeping and basic financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter financial data such as invoices, receipts and payments into accounting software
- Organize file financial documents and records
- Assist with bank statement and ledger reconciliations
- Process routine transactions including billing and payments
- Help prepare basic financial reports
- Respond to inquiries regarding financial records or transactions
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Good communication and data entry abilities
