Job Summary:
The Front Office Trainee will support the day-to-day operations of the front desk, gaining practical experience in guest service, reservations, and hospitality systems. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the hotel industry, with an emphasis on service excellence and operational knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Welcome guests warmly and handle basic inquiries
- Learn to operate hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera, PMS)
- Coordinate with housekeeping, concierge, and bell desk teams
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback under supervision
- Maintain records, reports, and daily logs as directed
- Assist in preparing guest folios and handling payments
- Ensure the front desk and lobby area remain clean and organized
- Uphold company policies, grooming standards, and service protocols
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree/diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
- Passion for guest service and hospitality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Presentable, professional appearance and demeanor
- Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with hotel software is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
