Food Compliance Executive (QC/Halal/Mesti)

Job description & Expectation:

Implement and monitor the Halal Assurance System (HAS)/ Internal Halal Control System (IHCS) in compliance with JAKIM standards.
Coordinate Halal & MeSTI certification renewals, surveillance audits, and liaise with certification bodies.
Conduct refreshment training to staff on Halal/ GMP/ GHP practices.
Conduct external lab test for raw materials according to schedule.
Maintain and update controlled documents (SOPs, manuals, forms) with strict version control.
Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices on the production floor.
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits (Halal, MeSTI regulatory).
Liase with supplier regarding product matters and main person for annual supplier audit.
Any other ad-hoc projects that may be assigned from time to time.

We are looking for someone with:

Job Requirements:

Fresh graduates will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Food Science, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal compliance, food safety, or related regulatory roles, particularly in the retail industry, is an advantage.
Certified Professional Halal Executive (PHEP) issued by Halal Profession Board (HPB) under the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
Have experience in Halal & MeSTI Application, establish & maintain IHCS/HAS Manual will be added advantage.
Ability to work in a team and a has good sense of responsibility.
Resourceful, independent, organized, meticulous, responsible, excellent problem-solving skills and committed to meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
