About the Role:
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Senior Finance and People Operations Executive to ensure the financial and operational health of the business. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems while owning people operations with the support of external HR administration partners.
You will work directly with the leadership team to manage payroll, benefits, budgeting, and process improvement. You'll serve as the bridge between our outsourced HR team and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement in our people and finance practices.
Key Responsibilities:Finance Operations (70%)
- Oversee end-to-end finance functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Work with external accountant to ensure timely submission of statutory filings (SST, EPF, SOCSO, etc.).
- Handle monthly payroll processing in coordination with the outsourced payroll provider.
- Raise, track, and manage customer and vendor invoices; ensure timely follow-ups and collections.
- Collaborate with departments to monitor spending, manage costs, and optimise financial workflows.
- Provide strategic input on financial planning, cash flow, and resource allocation.
People Operations (30%)
- Act as the main liaison with the outsourced HR administrative team for recruitment coordination, employee onboarding/offboarding, HR documentation, and statutory requirements.
- Lead internal initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and performance reviews.
- Maintain internal people operations systems and documentation (e.g., HRIS, leave records).
- Support leaders in shaping a performance-driven and values-aligned culture.
- Monitor compliance with labor laws and HR policies, flagging key issues and proposing improvements.
- Strategically manage headcount planning, compensation benchmarking, and benefit programs.

- Smooth, compliant, and employee-friendly HR operations via effective outsourcing management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a finance or people operations role, ideally in a growing startup or SME.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian statutory and labor requirements.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Google Workspace or MS Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with a systems-thinking mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and communicating across multiple stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
