Salary Range: RM 5,000 – RM 6,000/month (Negotiable)
Location: MPMSB Headquarters, Cyberjaya, Selangor
1. Position Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Finance Department, overseeing financial strategy, ensuring statutory compliance, optimising resources, and providing strategic insights to support MPMSB’s business objectives. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial stability, enhancing governance, and enabling informed decision-making at the executive level.
2. Key Responsibilities2.1 Strategic Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Board.
- Manage corporate finance activities including budgeting, investment appraisals, and funding strategies.
2.2 Financial Operations Oversight
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place for cash flow, expenses, and procurement.
- Supervise Finance Executive and Corporate Executive cum Admin (Accounting).
2.3 Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory filings (LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, SST).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks affecting the company’s operations.
2.4 Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of the company’s annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Advise management on cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
2.5 Leadership & Department Development
- Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance their technical and analytical skills.
- Establish performance KPIs for the department.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in strategic finance, corporate governance, and compliance.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian statutory requirements, MFRS, and corporate finance.
4. Working Conditions
- Office-based, standard working hours (Monday – Friday).
- May require extended hours during peak reporting periods or audits.
- Compliance with company policies, code of conduct, and confidentiality requirements.
