Finance Executive (Ecommerce)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of full sets of accounts and have experience in the Malaysian e-commerce sector. This role will be crucial in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing valuable insights to support our business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Full Set of Accounts Management:
• Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
• E-commerce Financial Operations:
• Manage and reconcile online payment gateways (e.g., Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, online banking transfers) and e-commerce platform transactions.
• Monitor and analyze sales data and online transaction reports.
• Handle chargebacks, refunds, and other e-commerce related financial transactions.
• Understand and manage the financial aspect of online promotions and sales campaigns.
• Understand sales and service tax related to ecommerce in Malaysia.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Compliance and Auditing:
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit trails.
• Other Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Provide support to other departments on financial matters.
• Handle ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, with an emphasis on full sets of accounts.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SST and income tax for ecommerce businesses in Malaysia.
• Preferable candidates who are able to speak Mandarin as this role will be dealing with Chinese clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA).
• Understanding of online marketing related finance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
