Cook – Role Description

Supervises: Part-Time Helpers
Purpose of the Role
To prepare, produce, and cook food to the highest quality standards, strictly following recipe SOPs. The Cook will support the kitchen team in ensuring smooth daily operations by executing mise en place efficiently, minimizing food waste, and maintaining proper cost control. The role also includes upholding cleanliness, organization, and safety within the outlet kitchen, while providing full support to the Outlet Chef and Assistant Chef.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh-to-order dishes during service, meeting quality and timing standards.
- Plate and present food consistently to company SOP standards.
- Assist the team in maintaining food quality, minimizing waste, and managing cost control.
- Execute all mise en place preparation, cooking, and plating according to SOPs, ensuring food meets company standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by washing, cleaning, and keeping the kitchen tidy at all times.
- Support the induction and training of new cooks.
- Properly carry out kitchen opening and closing routines in line with company SOPs.
- Manage stock storage in compliance with SOPs, including correct labeling, organized chiller/freezer storage, FIFO rotation, and daily spoilage checks.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support smooth kitchen operations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
