Standard Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese dishes according to hotel standards.
- Supervise and guide commis chefs and kitchen helpers in the section.
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and ready for service.
- Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation consistency in line with Chinese cuisine.
- Monitor portion control, minimize wastage, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen section in compliance with food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef regarding daily operations and requirements.
- Assist in menu planning, new dish creation, and seasonal specials for Chinese cuisine.
- Able to work split shift.
- Uphold hotel policies, kitchen safety procedures, and HACCP standards.
