Lim Chambers is an award-winning boutique litigation firm with offices in Johor Bahru and Bangsar. We are known for our court advocacy, procedural excellence, and integration of legal tech in litigation practice. We actively handle civil, family, probate, and criminal cases across Peninsular Malaysia.
We are currently hiring a Chambering Pupil who will be trained to eventually transition into a permanent Legal Associate role upon completion of their pupillage.
Responsibilities:
As part of your pupillage under the supervision of our senior partners, you will:
- Assist in drafting cause papers, affidavits, submissions, and legal research
- Observe and assist in hearings, mediations, and trials
- Attend court for filing, case management, and follow-ups with court officers
- Participate in firm-wide legal training and internal case reviews
- Handle administrative and file management tasks including e-Filing and Trello documentation
- Contribute to client meetings and client update communications
Requirements:
- LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognised institution (completed CLP or equivalent pathway)
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage)
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to litigation practice
- Familiarity with basic litigation procedures and legal drafting
- Able to work independently and within tight timelines
- Willing to be based in Johor Bahru and commit to a long-term position
