Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to spearhead our market expansion initiatives across Malaysia and international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while building strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth for our fish oil and marine-based products.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Customer Acquisition
- Identify and target potential customers in the aquaculture, animal feed, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food processing industries
- Develop comprehensive market penetration strategies for both domestic Malaysian and overseas markets
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through systematic prospecting and lead generation activities
Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, distributors, and industry stakeholders
- Serve as primary point of contact for major accounts and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with existing customers to identify expansion opportunities and cross-selling potential
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and terms of agreement with customers and partners
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure product specifications meet customer requirements
International Business Development
- Research and evaluate overseas markets for expansion opportunities, particularly in ASEAN, Middle East, and European regions
- Identify and establish relationships with international distributors, agents, and trading partners
- Navigate international trade regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure efficient export operations
Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Develop annual business development plans with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize strategies
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights
- Collaborate with management team on strategic initiatives and market positioning
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related field
- Minimum 1 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in food ingredients, animal feed, or related industries (Preferred)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth (Preferred)
- Experience in both domestic and international market development (Preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Malaysian business culture and regulatory environment
- Knowledge of international trade practices, export/import procedures, and cross-border transactions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Proficiency in additional languages (Mandarin) would be advantageous
- Advanced negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of fish oil production processes, quality standards, and applications
- Familiarity with aquaculture, animal nutrition, or food processing industries
- Knowledge of relevant certifications (HACCP, GMP, ISO) and quality requirements
- Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools

Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the CEO and Special project manager and works closely with the Sales Manager, Production Manager, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless customer service delivery.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
